XCM WORLD CHAMPION LEONARDO PÁEZ AT VOLCAT 202006-02-2020
The Colombian cyclist, winner of VolCAT 2016, is looking to add another medal to his collection at the classic mountain bike stage race and will be taking part together with the full GIANT POLIMEDICAL team, formed of Diego Arias, Massimo Rosa and Denis Fumarola
He will start the race as one of the top favourites to clinch the VolCAT winner’s jersey. The presence of the current world champion comes in addition to the confirmed European champion, Tiago Ferreira, the Dutch champion, Hans Becking, from the powerful DMT Racing Team, and the three-time Eliminator world champion, Titouan Perrin-Ganier. The list of mountain bike stars vying to take the top prize is ever-growing, meaning there’ll be even more excitement and tight competition on offer. Who will succeed in taking the overall UCI S2 race?
As usual, VolCAT is a key race for the best international cyclists on the planet and, from 9 to 12 April 2020, it will be the epicentre of the best cycling show in the world. What’s more, it will welcome amateur riders from all over the world, who will set themselves the great challenge and goal of overcoming all four stages of the race, or in other words, 206 km and 5,250 meters of elevation gain, alongside the very best.
A magnificent way to have an Easter weekend to remember, in which the whole family and even the little ones can join in on the fun.
