One week after announcing the alliance between the Sea Otter Europe International Cycle Tour and La Purito, today, the organisers closed an agreement to pair the event with L’Ariégeoise, a legendary race in the French Pyrenees which each year draws close to 5,000 cycling enthusiasts eager to ride the roads of a region enclosed between two Pyrenean valleys.
With this agreement, the Sea Otter Europe Cycle Tour completes a series of prestigious partnerships, with the pairing of two races that are highly esteemed among cyclists thanks to their unique nature and the beauty of their courses.
The 2018 edition of L’Ariégeoise is due to take place on 30 June, twenty days after Sea Otter Europe in Girona and the Costa Brava, which this year has been included as part of the Gran Fondo World Tour. Registration is now open.
L’Ariégeoise, held in the French region of Migdia-Pirineus, is Tour de France territory and offers cyclists five distances (172, 156, 125, 109 and 74 km) and new courses, giving all fans of great cycling feats the opportunity to tackle legendary summits such as Plateau de Beille and Col de Port in the company of friends and fans of pure unadulterated cycling.
