April 26th, 2018

Edition after edition, the Salomon Run consolidates itself as one of the most attractive running events in the city. The fifth edition, which will be held on Sunday April 29 in Montjuïc, already exceeds the 2,500 registered last year and, on the web, it is still possible to get a bib number to participate in a 10-kilometer race that promises a fun-filled morning.

One more year, the Salomon Run will start at 9am in the morning next to the Font Màgica de Montjuïc and the participants will enjoy a race with its own personality: with slope, steps and views of Barcelona. Of course, the Olympic Stadium and the Poble Espanyol will be the main attractions of the morning and the runners will enjoy the sensation of running a few meters inside.

Among the participants will be Jaume Leiva, eager to try a new experience and enjoy the environment. There will also be Jes Bonet, winner of the last three editions in the women's category and there will also be two athletes who already know what it is to win this race: Marc Traserra (2016) and Francisco Vicente Macia (2017). But the focus will be on the popular runners: there will be more than 2,500 people who will run this espectacular race.

The bib numbers can be collected in the Puig i Cadafalch square on Saturday (10-20h) and on Sunday before starting (7: 45-9h). In addition, during both days, Salomon will have a stand where people will be able to buy a solidary T-shirt or an umbrella from the campaign 'I am running'. On this occasion, the brand joins the Guttman Institute to help start new lives contributing to the neurorehabilitation of people with an injury of neurological origin.

Sprint Vertical: participants are already known

Once the 10km test is finished, attention will be focused the stairs located next to the Font de Montjuïc. There, 32 men and 16 women will seek to be the fastest in a sprint of about 54 meters full of steps. The table of participants is already known and the runners have been selected by invitation based on previous results and by lottery by submitting an application in the web form.
