Second round of the International MTB Catalan Cup in Barcelona with Julien Absalon from the MTB Team BMC

After the start of the XCO European season in Banyoles the  Catalan International MTB Cup mountain bike lands on Sunday 22nd of March in Barcelona with the dispute of the INTERNATIONAL TROPHY CIUTAT DE BARCELONA mountain of Montjuïc. The Palau Sant Jordi will host the second scoring event for an International Catalan Cup presumed to be more exciting than ever.

Montjuïc and its Olympic ring will be the privileged setting for the perfomance of the best bikers of the moment. The best riders today, with double Olympic champion and five-time CX world champion, Julien Absalon, will fight for victory in this race that holds the UCI C2 category. Among national bikers the favorites are David Valero and Carlos Coloma while the Catalan Francesc Guerra and Ismael Ventura will seek to improve their position in the first test.

The International Catalan Cup of Barcelona will be held over a 6.2 kilometer circuit located in the most sporty and emotional part of Barcelona. The surroundings of the Palau Sant Jordi will be a hive of bikers, public and equipment that will give color to the test celebrated in the more urban environment of the Cup.

The program of the Catalan Cup International will take a break and will reappear in May with the race of Vall de Lord, which will be followed by the races of Collbató, the Vall de Boi and Corró d'Amunt.
